FAQs
How much does Wondershare cost?
That depends. Wondershare offers a wide range of plans for different pieces of software, including Filmora (its video editor), PDFelement (its PDF reader and editor), and Recoverit (its data recovery tool). Plans are generally available monthly, yearly or perpertually, with pay monthly prices starting from $19.99 and annual plans starting from $49.99 a year outside of promotions.
Is there a Wondershare free trial?
Free trials are available on a range of different Wondershare products, but the length and terms of these trials vary depending on the product. No matter the product, the trial is designed to let you access and test premium features so you know if you'd like to take out a full plan, but how your trial works will vary depending on the software you're testing. For example, Filmora operates an unlimited free version that adds watermarks to every video, whereas PDFelement limits you by file count, and UniConverter offers a straightforward 7 days to test premium features before you need to pay.
How do Wondershare perpetual licenses work?
Buying a perpetual license for a Wondershare gives you unlimited access to your chosen software, but there's a catch: the license is a one-time purchase, but does not cover future upgrades to new versions (just minor patches and bug fixes). For example, you can buy Filmora 15 for $79.99, meaning you can use this version of the program for as long as you like. However, when Filmora 16 comes out, you will need to pay a fee to upgrade, or simply continue to use Filmora 15.
Do Wondershare plans come with stock assets?
Not necessarily. Although some Wondershare plans will include access to an asset library, premium libraries, as well as cloud storage and access to creative asset are often billed separately via their own subscription, with costs varying depending on the software you choose. For example, access to the assets library for Filmora will cost you $19.99 a month paid monthly, $39.99 quarterly (that's $13.33 a month), or $79.99 a year (around $26.33 a month).
How do Wondershare AI credits work?
At present, selected Wondershare plans include AI credits that you can use to access AI-powered features, but each plan only includes a limited number of credits that does not renew. You will need to pay to top up your AI credits should they run out, with prices varying depending on the software you're using. For example, for Filmora, you can buy 1500 credits for $9.99. Credits also do not rollover if they are not used before your plan ends.
Does Wondershare offer refunds?
Customers can claim their money back for any Wondershare plan under the brand's 30-day money-back guarantee by contacting the service team through the brand's site. However, refunds will only be issued if you have purchased the wrong product and still want to buy the correct one, if you have experienced a technical issue the brand could not solve within 15 days, or you have purchased the same product twice. You cannot get refunds if you have changed your mind or if you didn't cancel before your plan auto-renewed. Note that the refund period is only 7 days for data recovery plans.
Wondershare Saving tips
Shop around the holidays
Like many companies, Wondershare tends to offer discounts as part of seasonal sales, which tend to take place around major holidays. Watch out for significant savings around events like Black Friday, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, which can discount plans by as much as 30% extra off.
Here at TechRadar, we watch what the brand has to offer closely, adding any new deals to this page as and when we find them - check in around the holidays to see the latest ways to save.
Choose an annual plan
When signing up for a Wondershare plan, you'll usually have the option to sign up monthly or annually (or to buy a perpetual license). If you're already keen on the brand's software, signing up for the annual plan is a great way to save more money in the long run.
For example, Filmora comes in at $19.99 per month if you pay monthly, but an annual plan only costs $49.99, meaning you'll save almost 80% by choosing to sign up for 12 months. Likewise, PDFelement comes in at at least $12 a month paid monthly, but the annual plan costs $79.99 a year - that's a 45% saving.
Get a student discount
If you're studying or work in education, you can save up to 60% on selected Wondershare plans through the brand's education hub. Just verify your status through this page by signing in to a valid Student Beans account and you'll see all the discounted plan rates offered exclusively to students, with savings on major software like Filmora PDFelement and UniConverter.
Ask for volume pricing
If you’d like to purchase multiple licenses of Wondershare products, then you can take advantage of their volume purchasing discounts. If you’d like to purchase 5 or more licenses, contact the Wondershare team, let them know your needs, and they'll give you a bespoke price for your plans - the more licenses you buy, the larger the discount.

How we source voucher codes
At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.
How we test voucher codes
Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.
The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.
What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work
We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.
Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).
If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.
How we make money
All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.
Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.
