How do LifeLock's AI protections keep your finances secure?
Put AI to work for you.
AI tools are everywhere, whether we like it or not. And that includes tools that make it easier for thieves to steal your personal information and gain access to your personal or business bank accounts. However, while AI is making it easier for scammers to gain access to your accounts, it can also be used to protect you from those attacks.
While primarily known for its identity theft protection, LifeLock also offers financial protections and uses AI to increase the security of your accounts. Here’s how:
AI financial defense from LifeLock
With LifeLock’s AI-powered financial defense, you’ll be better prepared to avoid scams across a wide variety of mediums. Let's be honest, as your financial footprint grows, you aren't going to be able to keep a close eye on everything. That's where LifeLock comes in.
LifeLock's AI-powered financial defense keeps an eye on your whole transaction history. That means it's watching and evaluating activity across credit cards and bank accounts. If it catches a surface anomaly, it will help you orchestrate the next steps. Maybe you need to tighten the controls on your accounts. Perhaps move straight to disputing charges with your provider. Whatever the issue, LifeLock is ready to help.
Real-time scam avoidance tips
LifeLock doesn’t just detect scams for you; it can also provide real-time tips and assistance with the 24/7 virtual assistant. It is designed to help answer general questions about basic cybersecurity and provides a quick second opinion if you're worried someone might be trying to scam you. LifeLock is there for you any time, whether it's within "business hours" or no.
Card exposure control
In a modern society, our credit card information is everywhere. You make one purchase, one time, and suddenly that merchant might have access to your info. Suddenly, they're hacked and charges start showing up in your account.
LifeLock's card exposure control mitigates that by identifying merchants that may be storing your card data and rating the risk. A giant merchant just doesn't carry the same risk profile as a small, fly-by-night operation would. If you want to make sure these companies aren't holding onto stored card info, LifeLock helps you remove it.
Scam reimbursement
While most of LifeLock’s protection suite is designed to avoid scams and identity theft, even with the best protection, there’s still a chance that your identity could be stolen or you could be tricked by a well-planned scam. So should you fall victim to a scam, LifeLock offers scam reimbursement of up to $10,000 depending on your plan level.Of course, to qualify for LifeLock’s scam reimbursement (and identity recovery in the case of identity theft), you need to be a LifeLock subscriber before the theft takes place.
What does it cost?
An identity theft and financial protection service is a small price to pay to keep you, your family, and your funds safe.
The LifeLock Core plan costs $12.49 monthly or $124.99 annually (only $10.49 a month), which provides extra security for your bank accounts, AI-powered scam protection, and identity theft protection.
The Advanced plan costs $16.67 monthly, and the Total plan costs $29.17 monthly or $349.99 annually. The Advanced and Total plans come with increased scam reimbursements and identity theft reimbursement premiums in addition to the AI-powered financial defense, data breach monitoring, identity protection, and recovery services included in the Core plan. That’s not a lot considering the costs of falling for a scam without any detection or reimbursement services.
